Since All-Star Big Band last CD (All-Star Big Band) on Columbia Records back in 1992, I have felt a massive void in my life. IF YOU LIKE ALL All-Star Big Band’S SONG GO FOR IT! This is what good Jazz should be.
Spain is possibly the best song All-Star Big Band has come up. Sister Sadie is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Voice and instruments in Seven Steps to Heaven complement each other. Manteca - a classic song. Maiden Voyage is a song to enjoy for years to come. I Remember Clifford is a very catchy tune. Footprints is the funkiest number on the album. Donna Lee is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. All-Star Big Band rocks harder than ever with Airegin. Blue Train - Check out that bassline! In ‘Round Midnight you won’t find any flashy solos.
