I am not a real Blues music type of person, but i have to admit ‘King Of The Blues [Box] Disc 1′ really is amazing. This album has some very good songs like Miss Martha King and She’s Dynamite. King Of The Blues [Box] Disc 1 isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Another great offering from B.B.King.
She’s Dynamite is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Three O’Clock Blues is probably the most interesting track on King Of The Blues [Box] Disc 1. Please Love Me is perfect. You Upset Me Baby is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after King Of The Blues [Box] Disc 1 have ended. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of B.B.King. Rock Me Baby is pretty funky and mellow. Recession Blues have really caught my ear and imagination. This is probably my favorite song on the album. I’m Gonna Sit In ‘Til You Give In - B.B.King first major hit. B.B.King is one of artists that allow his songs like Blues At Midnight to stand on their own and be heard. Sneakin’ Around is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. My Baby’s Comin’ Home is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Slowly Losing My Mind is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. How Blue Can You Get is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. All of songs on King Of The Blues [Box] Disc 1 and have something to say letting alone Rockin’ Awhile. Help The Poor - Okay, I just talked about depth. I came to like Stop Leadin’ Me On. After few listenings I started to like Never Trust A Woman more and more. Sweet Little Angel is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. All Over Again - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. B.B.King sings Sloppy Drunk in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. I Done Got Wise - I just love it. In Think It Over the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. The sound of Gambler’s Blues is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created.
