When you buy a Benediction album, you know exactly what you’re getting! On The Grand Leveller album, Benediction have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Since Benediction last CD (The Grand Leveller) on EMI Records back in 1991, I have felt a massive void in my life. To me Benediction is the best band ever.
Music in Graveworm is astounding as in all tracks of The Grand Leveller. Don’t judge Jumping At Shadows on the first listening. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Best song on the album, love it. Undirected Aggression is the funkiest number on the album. The song Born In A Fever ending is my favorite… so catchy! It’s a great pleasure to listen to The Grand Leveller from the beginning to the end. Senile Dementia which is my favorite is a truly Benediction sounding song. Return To The Eve is a strong cut, one of many.
