Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Big Daddy Kane on ‘All of Me’. Taste of Chocolate isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. It has been eight years Big Daddy Kane’ last studio CD, “Taste of Chocolate” which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Big Daddy Vs. Dolemite is astounding song though, very addictive. Album opener Cause I Can Do It Right is a bright, upbeat ditty. Dance With the Devil is simple, dignified and effective, Big Daddy Kane refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Down the Line is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. It’s Hard Being the Kane is perfect. Keep ‘Em on the Floor is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Mr. Pitiful - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. After few listenings I started to like No Damn Good more and more. I was truly moved when I heard Put Your Weight on It. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Big Daddy Kane. Taste of Chocolate (Intro) is probably one of Big Daddy Kane’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. I have all of Big Daddy Kane’s tracks and Who Am I? is probably the most his introspective effort.
