This disc has all of the essential Bill Frisell classics. There were many famous songs of Bill Frisell available. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Bill Frisell has. I Love Have A Little Faith from start to finish!
It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Street Scene In A Frontier Town, which shows, blatantly, how much Bill Frisell has evolved as a singer. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Prairie Night (Card Game At Night), Gun Battle (5:02) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Bill Frisell sings Celebration After Billy’s Capture in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Billy In Prison - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. The Open Prairie Again has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. The ‘Saint-Gaudens’ In Boston Common (excerpt #1) is a fine track on any terms. Just Like A Woman is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. I Can’t Be Satisfied gives good insight into the truths. Live To Tell one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Bill Frisell has astounded me with this amazing track. I like to sing along with No Moe, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Washington Post March hits the heart. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Have A Little Faith. When I listen to Little Jenny Dow in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Have A Little Faith In Me is a gorgeous, simple song by Bill Frisell at the top of his game. Bill Frisell allows each song to breathe and flourish.
