Since completing 1992’s ‘Blue Murder (Lies)’, Bill Wyman fulfilled their contract with Virgin Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Bill Wyman’s debut, ‘Stuff’, does not fit easily into one genre. On Stuff album, Bill Wyman have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Stuff constantly brilliant.
Affted By The Towns - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Bill Wyman. She Danced on Stuff is solid and easy to listen to. Fear Of Flying is probably the highlight of the album. Mama Rap great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Stuff is This Strange Effect. What sets Stuff (Can’t Get Enough) apart is Bill Wyman’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. In Leave Your Hat On Bill Wyman is at his best. Like A Knife is the funkiest number on the album. Stuff couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track If I Was A Doo Doo Doo.
