It’s natural for Candlemass to take a stab at ‘The Dying Illusion’ considering her long-professed love for East 17. ‘Chapter Vi’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. There is no doubt that Candlemass has talent. This album is awesome.
No Candlemass song has come close to capturing my attention as Julie Laughs No More did. Where The Runes Still Speak as a highlight of Chapter Vi contains a ton of astounding melodies. The Ebony Throne is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Voice and instruments in Temple Of The Dead complement each other. There is perfect mix of music in Aftermath. Black Eyes is astounding. The End Of Pain gives good insight into the truths.
