This is the first studio album from Champion Jack Dupree since bad diagnosis in 1992. On Blues from the Gutter album, Champion Jack Dupree have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. It’s natural for Champion Jack Dupree to take a stab at ‘Stack O Lee’ considering her long-professed love for U2. Enjoy the show.
There is gorgeous mix of music in Frankie & Johnny. Goin’ Down Slow - I just love it. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Junker’s Blues pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Nasty Boogie (3:11) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. In Evil Woman Champion Jack Dupree spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Blues from the Gutter is Can’t Kick The Habit. TB Blues - A catchy, upbeat tune. A fantastic track full of wonder.
