Chico Buarque had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. There is so much to love about Chico Buarque, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Since Chico Buarque last CD (Danca da meia-lua) on SixSteps records back in 1988, I have felt a massive void in my life. Overall, I would highly recommend Danca da meia-lua CD.
Casa de Joo de Rosa is one of the best records ever. A Permuta dos Santos is the first taste of the new album. Frevo Diabo is Chico Buarque’s best work in years. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. In Abandono Chico Buarque spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Dana das mquinas rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. TororC is simply amazing. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Valsa Brasileira is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Pas de Deux had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Music of Primeiro Encontro is gentle, never overbearing. Separao is a very catchy tune.
