Stanley Donwood has compared writing for Chris Hinze’s new album to that on ‘Music for Relaxation cd 1′ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. I am not a real New Age music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Music for Relaxation cd 1′ really is amazing. Since completing 1992’s ‘Jai Guru Datta’, Chris Hinze fulfilled their contract with Sparrow Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Music for Relaxation cd 1 is not something you should pass up.
I like to sing along with Alap Asta Laksmi, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Pavamana Suktam (part III ) is absolutely incredible. Musically Suryodaya is superior to other tracks in Music for Relaxation cd 1. Sri Ganapati Sukta gets you up and jumping. Arpana to Swamiji is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Datta Nama I just LOVE this mix! One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Arpana to Jaya Lakshmi Amma. AUM - This is a very lively song.
