Since Clannad last CD (Anam) on Blue Note Records back in 1990, I have felt a massive void in my life. Anam isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. This thirteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Clannad has. This is what good Folk: British should be.
Within the first few notes of In A Lifetime it’s perfectly clear that Clannad is living this song. You can find feelings on this piece of art. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Strong, powerful vocals of Clannad in The Poison Glen are very impressive. Wilderness - This one is lively and fun. It’s such an underrated song. Best song on the album, love it. Uirchill An Chreagain is so unique, as each one of the songs is. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. A fantastic track full of wonder. Voice of Clannad in Dobhar is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant.
