This is one of the best Cd’s Die Flippers has dropped to date. There is so much to love about Die Flippers, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Lead single “Herzen brauchen Zlichkeit” and “Ciao, ciao Marina” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. IF you love Die Flippers, ‘Rote Rosen’ Mp3’s is the best!
Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Ciao, ciao Marina is my favorite song on Rote Rosen. Gib mir die Hand is a bit different from Die Flippers stereotypical stuff. Opening track Weine nicht kleine Eva shows the best of Die Flippers. Wenn es Nacht wird is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. In Sommernachtstre Die Flippers spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Melodie d’amour pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Die Flippers must have run out of lyrics on the next track Adios hei auf Wiederseh’n. Liebeskummer is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. The song feels complete. Lyrics of Ladoch Deine Trn sein are precise and evocative. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Liebe die wie Feuer brennt (3:28) a good melody. Die Flippers has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Die Flippers allows each song to breathe and flourish. Rote Rosen is a strong cut, one of many.
