Legend Of The Flute Boy carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Since Douglas Spotted Eagle last CD (Legend Of The Flute Boy) on Virgin Records back in 1992, I have felt a massive void in my life. When you buy a Douglas Spotted Eagle album, you know exactly what you’re getting! I wish that “Legend Of The Flute Boy” album was instrumental.
Get Legend Of The Flute Boy and turn on Siyotanka Boy if you are going to sip your wine late at night. This track is clearly meant to showcase Douglas Spotted Eagle’s vocal abilities. Although Song For Winchinchala is very melodic it is far from sad. In Teach Your Children full palet of sound is used by Douglas Spotted Eagle to accentuate the presentation. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Legend Of The Flute Boy. Indian Love Chant is such a exquisite and optimistic song that things can get just better. Douglas Spotted Eagle sings Lovers Tipi in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Gather The Nations is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Go My Son is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Legend Of The Flute Boy.
