This is one of the best Cd’s Ethnic - Various Artists has dropped to date. Lead single “Seigaiha” and “Shuufuuraku” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Self-described as Ethnic with lots of words, Ethnic - Various Artists comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Ethnic - Various Artists ever.
Shuufuuraku marked the continuation of Ethnic - Various Artists in style evolution. I now have Choubouraku No Ha as one of my personal favorites. Shun Nouden Juha which is my favorite is a truly Ethnic - Various Artists sounding song. Don’t judge Ise No Umi on the first listening. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener.
