This disc has all of the essential Fairport Convention classics. This is one of the best Cd’s Fairport Convention has dropped to date. Self-described as Folk with lots of words, Fairport Convention comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Overall, I would highly recommend What We Did on Our Holidays CD.
This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Book Song - A strong beat. ‘The Lord Is In This Place…How Dreadful Is This Place is a strong cut, one of many. This is probably my favorite song on the album. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Eastern Rain is worth the money. I was truly moved when I heard Nottamun Town. Once you hear Tale In A Hard Time, you will listen to it over and over. She Moves Through The Fair catches attention immediately, This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. What We Did on Our Holidays couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track End Of A Holiday.
