There is so much to love about Fausto Papetti, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. I am not a real Instrumental music type of person, but i have to admit ‘48a Raccolta’ really is amazing. Lead single “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes” and “What A Wonderful World” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This is one of Fausto Papetti best albums
Album opener What A Wonderful World is a bright, upbeat ditty. In Melodie D’Amour the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. I listened to the opening track My Love Serenade and liked it a lot. Fausto Papetti sings Sweet Water in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. It’s such an underrated song. Nen Mas - I like this one. A unique and uplifting song. There is perfect mix of music in The Look Of Love. I Left My Heart In San Francisco - To me, this is the best song on the 48a Raccolta. La Malaguena is really the reason why I recommend buying 48a Raccolta. I like the idea behind Forever. Only Have Eyes For You is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Soledad is one of the best records ever.
