Lead single “Night Whisper” and “Nomad” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. I am not a real Ethnic music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Trance’ really is amazing. This nine-song debut EP shows the promise that Gabrielle Roth and The Mirrors has. This is my first Gabrielle Roth and The Mirrors Album and i must say i am blown away.
Nomad is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Funkeridu is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Within the first few notes of Bush Beat it’s perfectly clear that Gabrielle Roth and The Mirrors is living this song. Opening track Dervish Wind shows the best of Gabrielle Roth and The Mirrors. Gabrielle Roth and The Mirrors breathes new life into the music in Ghost Dancer. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Gabrielle Roth and The Mirrors.
