Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of George Benson on ‘Dinorah, Dinorah’. Lead single “Dinorah, Dinorah” and “Love Dance” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. For older fans Give Me the Night will put a massive smile accross your face. Great R&B: Soul right here!
Love Dance one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Off Broadway is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Give Me the Night have ended. I like the agression and power of Love X Love. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Give Me The Night. Turn Out The Lamplight is probably one of George Benson’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Music in Midnight Love Affair is marvelous as in all tracks of Give Me the Night. Star Of A Story (X) is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Although What’s On Your Mind is very melodic it is far from sad. Moody’s Mood to me is the best you can get from George Benson.
