fourteen years ago, George Benson briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Stella by Starlight”. Since George Benson last CD (Tenderly) on SixSteps records back in 1989, I have felt a massive void in my life. It has been fourteen years George Benson’ last studio CD, “Tenderly” which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Unappreciated gift to R&B: Soul
This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Tenderly. I like the idea behind Stardust. This track is full of harmonies and gets Tenderly off to a relaxing start. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. This Is All I Ask I just LOVE this mix! Tenderly is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. I find myself hearing bits of I Could Write a Book here and there throughout my waking hours.
