Big Boss Band is an amazing album, racked with beauty.George Benson with the Count Basie Orchestra had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Big Boss Band touched my soul like nothing else.
When I listen to Ready Now That You Are in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. How Do You Keep The Music Playing has a fun tempo. The song On Green Dolphin Street ending is my favorite… so catchy! Baby Workout has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. I Only Have Eyes For You is amazing song though, very addictive. Portrait Of Jennie to me is the best you can get from George Benson with the Count Basie Orchestra. All of songs on Big Boss Band and have something to say letting alone Walkin’ My Baby Back Home. In Skylark you won’t find any flashy solos. Basie’s Bag - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites.
