Moonlight Serenade [Ranwood] is an amazing album, racked with beauty. For older fans Moonlight Serenade [Ranwood] will put a massive smile accross your face. This disc has all of the essential Glenn Miller classics. Another great offering from Glenn Miller.
What sets Swing Low, Sweet Chariot apart is Glenn Miller’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Serenade in Blue is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Little Brown Jug is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. After few listenings I started to like Tuxedo Junction more and more. Glenn Miller rocks harder than ever with Chattanooga Choo Choo. I like to sing along with Danny Boy, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. American Patrol - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. In the Mood - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Song Pennsylvania 6-5000 is actually a funny song. I Know Why (And So Do You) very upbeat. String of Pearls (3:03) - awsome. I now have Everybody Loves My Baby as one of my personal favorites. Music in (I’ve Got a Gal In) Kalamazoo is astounding as in all tracks of Moonlight Serenade [Ranwood]. Anvil Chorus - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Glenn Miller. Too Little Time [Theme from the Glenn Miller Story] is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever.
