This -song debut EP shows the promise that Goombay Dance Band has. It has been three years Goombay Dance Band’ last studio CD, “Sun Of Jamaica” which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. While no new Goombay Dance Band album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1988 tour in Australia. Another great offering from Goombay Dance Band.
Seven Tears is a medium tempo tune. Island Of Dreams - Check out that bassline! Eldorado is just simply stunning. Goombay Dance Band has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. I like to sing along with Child Of The Sun, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. The first time I listened to Aloha-Oe, Until We Meet Again I was struck by its marvelous sound. My Bonnie is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Robinson Crusoe (4:25) - awsome. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. If You Ever Fall In Love gives good insight into the truths. Such hits like Ave Maria No Morro will leave you hooked. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Lovely Land catches attention immediately, Born To Win is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Paradise Of Joy is one of the best records ever. Isle Of Atlantis is almost impossible to review. Marrakesh is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. In Reggae Nights Goombay Dance Band spins a tale you want to hear to the end.
