On the Romania charts, superstar Hans Joachim Roedelius’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Self-described as Ambient with lots of words, Hans Joachim Roedelius comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Hans Joachim Roedelius’s album Friendly Game falls to No. 2 with 865,000, a sales slide of 87%. Friendly Game constantly brilliant.
Music in Shade is cool as in all tracks of Friendly Game. Genius Move still maintains something of a specific flourish. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Strecciatu. What sets Tracce De Sale apart is Hans Joachim Roedelius’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Friendly Game is Friendly Game. Best song on the album, love it. Vocals of Hans Joachim Roedelius in Deep Feeling really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Song Cleo is actually a funny song. Blumau Suite actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Hans Joachim Roedelius’s face. Book Of Los is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Hans Joachim Roedelius ever produced. Album opener Fiori is a bright, upbeat ditty. Long End is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion.
