When you buy a Haydn, Franz Joseph album, you know exactly what you’re getting! This is the first studio album from Haydn, Franz Joseph since bad diagnosis in 1992. There were many famous songs of Haydn, Franz Joseph available. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Arie: (Simon); Der munt’re Hirt versammelt nun. Rezitativ: (Hanne) Die Morgenroete bricht hervor
Arie: (Simon); Der munt’re Hirt versammelt nun. Rezitativ: (Hanne) Die Morgenroete bricht hervor is a excellent sing-along. Terzett und Chor: Sie steigt herauf, die Sonne is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Rezitativ: (Simon) Nun regt und bewegt sich alles umher. Rezitativ: (Lukas) Die Mittagssonne brennet jetzt is almost impossible to review. Within the first few notes of Kavatine: (Lukas) Dem Druck erlieget die Natur (Helmut Wildhaber - tenor, The Choir of the Flanders Opera “La Petite Bande” con. Sigiswald Kuijken) it’s perfectly clear that Haydn, Franz Joseph is living this song. Rezitativ: (Hanne) Willkommen jetzt, o dunkler Hain is the albums biggest surprise. Arie: (Hanne) Welche Labung fuer die Sinne! (Kristina Laki - soprano, The Choir of the Flanders Opera “La Petite Bande” con. Sigiswald Kuijken) is a good listen every once in a while. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Chor: Ach, das Ungewitter naht! (The Choir of the Flanders Opera “La Petite Bande” con. Sigiswald Kuijken) is another favourite of mine. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener.
