When you buy a Henry Mancini album, you know exactly what you’re getting! This is the first studio album from Henry Mancini since bad diagnosis in 1987. It has been twelve years Henry Mancini’ last studio CD, “The Glass Menagerie” which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Gentlemen Callers (The Glass Menagerie…
Gentlemen Callers (The Glass Menagerie… still maintains something of a specific flourish. Blue Roses (Laura’s Theme) is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Laura’s Private World I just LOVE this mix! It’s such an underrated song. Song My Sister Laura is actually a funny song. I like the agression and power of The Magic Scare. Make A Wish - Henry Mancini first major hit. Tom’s Theme is another strong production from Henry Mancini. The Blues In Three is simply exquisite. Easy Ride (2:55) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Where Is Dear Old Dad - A strong beat. In The Rumba You Saved For Me full palet of sound is used by Henry Mancini to accentuate the presentation. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. Opening track Tango Paradiso shows the best of Henry Mancini. Paradise Dance Hall Blues is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through The Glass Menagerie.
