Self-described as Rap: Hip-Hop with lots of words, Ice T comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Ice T. After seeing Shut Up, Be Happy, I had to have a good Ice T cd. This is what good Rap: Hip-Hop should be.
The Iceberg - For me, this is the best of the album. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. You Played Yourself gives taste of what makes Ice T special as a musician. Peel Their Caps Back is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. The Girl Tried To Kill Me is one of the more up-tempo songs on The Iceberg / Freedom Of Speech…Just Watch What You Say. Black ‘n’ Decker is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Hit The Deck one of the best in my collection. In This One’s For Me Ice T spins a tale you want to hear to the end. The Hunted Child great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.What Ya Wanna Do is the cool blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Get The Iceberg / Freedom Of Speech…Just Watch What You Say and turn on Freedom Of Speech if you are going to sip your wine late at night. My Word Is Bond is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside.
