After debuting at No. 1 last week, Ike Turner’s album Great Rhythm and Blues Sessions falls to No. 2 with 950,000, a sales slide of 86%. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Ike Turner on ‘Rock Me Baby’. There is no doubt that Ike Turner has talent. Enjoy the show.
Beauty Is Only Skin Deep is another strong production from Ike Turner. This song stands out greatly from the others. I’m Fed Up is absolutely incredible. You Got What You Wanted is simply cool. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. Don’t judge Betcha Can’t Kiss Me on the first listening. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Make ‘Em Wait is my favorite song on Great Rhythm and Blues Sessions. Ain’t Nobody’s Business is probably one of Ike Turner’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Funky Mule is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. I Smell Trouble - A classic Ike Turner track. Crazy ‘Bout You Baby is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Ike Turner released so far. A fantastic track full of wonder.
