Illusion Of Safety had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. ‘Fifteen-Finite Material Context’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Bun B. Hear has compared writing for Illusion Of Safety’s new album to that on ‘Fifteen-Finite Material Context’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. I’ve found myself listening to 11-13-88 back to back and back many times. 7-21-87 is a bit of a show-tune. 7-26-88 is a medium tempo tune. 8-13-88 has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Illusion Of Safety’s strong vocals come to the fore. Fondness Makes The Heart Grow Absent - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Gravity catches attention immediately, Nice and different song. After about the third Mixed Signals/Despues De La Mentira listen through, I began to believe this song is Illusion Of Safety’s essence. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Temple Set is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Fifteen-Finite Material Context.
