seven years ago, Impaled Nazarene briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “I Al Purg Vonpo”. Mila Sparrow has compared writing for Impaled Nazarene’s new album to that on ‘Tol Compt Norz Norz Norz (Limited Edition)’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. On the Sweden charts, superstar Impaled Nazarene’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is I Al Purg Vonpo
I Al Purg Vonpo marked the continuation of Impaled Nazarene in style evolution. My Blessing (The Beginning Of The End) still maintains something of a specific flourish. Apolokia II: Aikolopa 666 is simple, dignified and effective, Impaled Nazarene refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Impure Orgies - For me, this is the best of the album. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Mortification - Blood Red Razor Blade is possibly the best song Impaled Nazarene has come up. The God (Symmetry Of Penis) is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Condemned To Hell have really caught my ear and imagination. The Dog (Art Of Vagina) is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. The Crucified is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Apolokia III: Agony is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Impaled Nazarene released so far. Body-Mind-Soul is one of these floating songs. Hoath: Darbs Lucifero is excellent work of Impaled Nazarene. Apolokia Finale XXVII A.S. - Damnation (Raping The Angels) is one of the best records ever. Ghost Riders (Sadogoat 7″ EP) defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Sadogoat (Sadogoat 7″ EP) - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Noisrevrep Taog (Goat Perversion 7″ EP) is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Taog Eht Fo Htao Eht (2nd Demo, 10 tracks) is the albums biggest surprise.
