There is no doubt that Inkari has talent. Lead single “Yamor” and “A La Fiesta De Mi Pueblo” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. I am not a real Folk music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Music of the Andes Vol. 1′ really is amazing. Inkari is one of my favourite bands of all time.
A La Fiesta De Mi Pueblo is probably one of Inkari’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. El Eco is the albums biggest surprise. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Music of the Andes Vol. 1. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Inkari - Encuentros is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Yariguangi is a fine track on any terms. Inkari has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. No Inkari song has come close to capturing my attention as Sikuri #1 did. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor.
