two years ago, Jacek Kaczmarski briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “zwatpienie”. Jacek Kaczmarski’s debut, ‘Glupi Jasio’, does not fit easily into one genre. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Jacek Kaczmarski has. Exciting stuff.
Best song on the album, love it. pejzaz z trzema krzyzami is beautiful, yet underrated track. kara barabasza I just LOVE this mix! upadek imperium is a very catchy tune. Jacek Kaczmarski allows each song to breathe and flourish. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. This track is full of harmonies and gets Glupi Jasio off to a relaxing start. Album opener szkola is a bright, upbeat ditty. Music in bajka o glupim jasiu is excellent as in all tracks of Glupi Jasio. This is one hell of a track. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: dwie rozmowy z kremlem, which shows, blatantly, how much Jacek Kaczmarski has evolved as a singer. dom hits the heart. japonska rycina is simply gorgeous. From the moment you listen to parafraza (norwid) you’re hooked. Some of the arrangements found on Glupi Jasio are surprisingly edgy. linoskoczek II is simple, dignified and effective, Jacek Kaczmarski refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. zrodlo II (rozlewiska) is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. oblawa IV was the first single release from the album Glupi Jasio.
