one years ago, Jacek Kaczmarski briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Szturm”. Jacek Kaczmarski’s debut, ‘Mury w Muzeum Raju’, does not fit easily into one genre. There were many famous songs of Jacek Kaczmarski available. This is what good Folk should be.
This track is just fantastic from start to finish. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Krajobraz po uczcie which is my favorite is a truly Jacek Kaczmarski sounding song. Samosierra (Michalowski) is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Zeslanie studentow (Malczewski) very upbeat. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Wigilia na Syberii (Malczewski). Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Rzez niewiniatek - Jacek Kaczmarski first major hit. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Hiob is my favorite song on Mury w Muzeum Raju. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Pejzaz z szubienica - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Wiosna 1905 r. (Maslowski) on Mury w Muzeum Raju is solid and easy to listen to. I like to sing along with Kanapka z czlowiekiem (Linke), though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Smiech is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Voice and instruments in Karmaniola complement each other. Pokolenie is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Arka Noego (Arrasy wawelskie). Epitafium dla S. Jesienina-retry - A classic Jacek Kaczmarski track. It’s such an underrated song. Upadek Zwiazku Radzieckiego great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.Jacek Kaczmarski sings Mury in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved.
