After seeing Shlok - Hey Gobind Hey Gopal, I had to have a good Jagjit Singh cd. This album has some very good songs like Shlok - Hey Gobind Hey Gopal and Muraliya Baje Re Jamuna Ke Teer. Jagjit Singh was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Jagjit Singh and Hey Gobind Hey Gopal together. This album is awesome.
Jagjit Singh rocks harder than ever with Muraliya Baje Re Jamuna Ke Teer. As always, Jagjit Singh’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. He Ram He Ram (4:13) a good melody. Laaj Rakho Giridhari - arguably the best track on Hey Gobind Hey Gopal album. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. I believe Beet Gaye Din Bhajan Bina Re is one of the most gorgeous, heartfelt songs ever written. Mere To Giridhar Gopal - To me, this is the best song on the Hey Gobind Hey Gopal. Deenen Dukh Haran Dev Santan Hitkari is pretty funky and mellow. Prabhuji Tum Chandan Hum Pani is probably one of Jagjit Singh’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Excellent vocals and musical performances.
