When you buy a James Brown album, you know exactly what you’re getting! There were many famous songs of James Brown available. Since James Brown last CD (Love Power Peace) on Mute Records back in 1992, I have felt a massive void in my life. Unappreciated gift to Jazz: Funk
Brother Rapp is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Aint It Funky Now (5:36) - awsome. James Brown has astounded me with this amazing track. It’s A New Day defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Bewildered is the most memorable and marvelous. Sex Machine have really caught my ear and imagination. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Medley: Papa’s Got A Brand New Bag/I Got You (I Feel Good)/I Got The Feelin’ on Love Power Peace is solid and easy to listen to. Give It Up Or Turnit A Loose good vocals. It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World is a very catchy tune. Please Please Please is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Sex Machine (Reprise) is a medium tempo tune. Super Bad is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything James Brown released so far. Get Up, Get Into It, Get Involved without a doubt is the standout song of Love Power Peace. Soul Power is a great opener for Love Power Peace. Get Up, Get Into It, Get Involved (Finale) - I just love it.
