Self-described as Easy Listening with lots of words, James Last comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. IF YOU LIKE ALL James Last’S SONG GO FOR IT! On Still Wie Die Nacht album, James Last have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Still Wie Die Nacht touched my soul like nothing else.
Notre Dame has a fun tempo. I like to sing along with Rodrigos Concerto, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. In Der Halle Des Bergkonigs as a highlight of Still Wie Die Nacht contains a ton of cool melodies. In Feuertanz full palet of sound is used by James Last to accentuate the presentation. Largo is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Still Wie Die Nacht. Habanera is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. The sound of Adagio is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. A fantastic track full of wonder. Once you hear Die Moldau, you will listen to it over and over. Still Wie Die Nacht (4:24) - awsome. Barcarole is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. If you are a James Last fan, you will love Slawischer Tanz Nr. 10. Music in Traumerei is perfect as in all tracks of Still Wie Die Nacht. In Capriccio Italien it becomes nowhere more obvious that James Last has yet to define own style. Gefangenen Chor is so unique, as each one of the songs is.
