After debuting at No. 1 last week, Jan Garbarek’s album I Took Up The Runes falls to No. 2 with 893,000, a sales slide of 88%. This album has some very good songs like Gula Gula and Molde Canticle Pt.1. Check it every song is worth the money for the I Took Up The Runes CD!
Molde Canticle Pt.1 is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Molde Canticle Pt.2 is the more seemingly obscure song on I Took Up The Runes that bear up best to repeated listening. Voice and instruments in Molde Canticle Pt.3 complement each other. The song Molde Canticle Pt.4 ending is my favorite… so catchy! Strong, powerful vocals of Jan Garbarek in Molde Canticle Pt.5 are very impressive. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. I Took Up The Runes is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Music and lyrics of Bueno Hora, Buenos Vientos creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. This song is dynamic and dramatic.
