IF YOU LIKE ALL Jazz - Various Artists’S SONG GO FOR IT! James Brown’s Funky People carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. This is the first studio album from Jazz - Various Artists since bad diagnosis in 1990. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like James Brown’s Funky People.
(It’s Not The Express) It’s The JBs Monaurail (Part 1) - Fred & The New JBs marked the continuation of Jazz - Various Artists in style evolution. Musically Parrty (Part 1) - Maceo & The Macks is superior to other tracks in James Brown’s Funky People. Although If You Don’t Get It The First Time, Back Up And Try It Again, Party - Fred Wesley & The JBs is very melodic it is far from sad. Song Take Me Just As I Am - Lyn ‘The Female Preacher’ Collins is actually a funny song. Damn Right, I Am Somebody (Parts 1 & 2) - Fred Wesley & The JBs is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Jazz - Various Artists ever produced. Rock Me Again & Again & Again & Again & Again & Again - Lyn ‘The Female Preacher’ Collins is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Hot Pants Road - The JBs is the first taste of the new album. Within the first few notes of Mama Feelgood - Lyn ‘The Female Preacher’ Collins it’s perfectly clear that Jazz - Various Artists is living this song. A great put together song. In Think (About It) - Lyn ‘The Female Preacher’ Collins Jazz - Various Artists is at his best. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Pass The Peas - The JBs is my favorite song on James Brown’s Funky People. I hope to keep hearing Jazz - Various Artists works for a long time to come.
