It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Jazz - Various Artists energies, virtually a rebirth. Jazz. Piano and voices. is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Jazz - Various Artists was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Jazz - Various Artists and Jazz. Piano and voices. together. One of Jazz - Various Artists’s best albums yet.
The sound in When I Fall In Love (Carmen McRae) is really warm and Jazz - Various Artists’s signature voice is still very much present. Best song on the album, love it. What sets I Fall In Love Too Easily (Eliane Elias) apart is Jazz - Various Artists’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. All of songs on Jazz. Piano and voices. and have something to say letting alone Kent-Isnt this a lovely day (Stacey). Song Let There Be Love (Na King Cole) is actually a funny song. You Send Me (Rachelle Ferrell) is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Overall a nice softer song. One listen to the sheer beauty of What a difference a day makes (Jamie Cullum) was all I needed. Once you hear Fly Me To The Moon (Tony Bennett), you will listen to it over and over. Time and Again (Oscar Peterson) - My least favorite song on this album. I came to like My one and only love (Carol Sloane). Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Jazz. Piano and voices. is Iluminados (Eliane Elias). But For Now (Jamie Cullum) is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Georgia On My Mind (Dave Brubeck) - I like this one. Misty (McRae Carmen) is pretty funky and mellow. Such hits like How Deep is the Ocean (How High is the Sky) (Diana Krall) will leave you hooked. Stardust (Harry Connick Jr.) can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Jazz - Various Artists is all about.
