When you buy a Jean Michel Jarre album, you know exactly what you’re getting! This album has some very good songs like Ethnicolor and Les Chants Magnetiques I. It has been six years Jean Michel Jarre’ last studio CD, “Rendez-vous Lyon” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Rendez-vous Lyon is the best essence of Jean Michel Jarre.
The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Wooloomooloo is another favourite of mine. Equinoxe VII is the albums biggest surprise. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Equinoxe V stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Rendez-vous III - a classic song. Rendez-vous II is probably one of Jean Michel Jarre’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Listening to Rendez-vous IV you can hear that Jean Michel Jarre has still amazing chemistry with band members. Jean Michel Jarre offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Rendez-vous II to me is the best you can get from Jean Michel Jarre.
