Self-described as Blues with lots of words, Jimmy Reed comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Jimmy Reed’s album Live at Carnegie Hall/The Best of Jimmy Reed falls to No. 2 with 109,000, a sales slide of 93%. Live at Carnegie Hall/The Best of Jimmy Reed is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. No Jimmy Reed song has come close to capturing my attention as Baby What’s Wrong did. I was truly moved when I heard Found Joy. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Aw Shucks, Hush Your Mouth is absolutely incredible. Tell Me You Love Me - another great track from the Live at Carnegie Hall/The Best of Jimmy Reed album. Don’t judge Blue Carnegie on the first listening. I’m a Love You very upbeat. Hold Me Close is beautiful, yet underrated track. Blue Blue Water to me is the best you can get from Jimmy Reed. Baby, What You Want Me to Do - Jimmy Reed first major hit. You Don’t Have to Go as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Hush Hush is one of my favorite songs by Jimmy Reed. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Honest I Do - a classic song. You Got Me Dizzy I just LOVE this mix! Big Boss Man is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. This track is full of harmonies and gets Live at Carnegie Hall/The Best of Jimmy Reed off to a relaxing start. Boogie in the Dark is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Going to New York hits the heart. This is one hell of a track. Sun Is Shining can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Jimmy Reed is all about.
