‘Live in Europe ‘83: Children of the Eighties’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. This is the first studio album from Joan Baez since bad diagnosis in 1986. Joan Baez had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. One of Joan Baez’s best albums yet.
Land of a Thousand Dances still maintains something of a specific flourish. In Jaria Hamuda the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Here’s to You is probably one of Joan Baez’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. All of songs on Live in Europe ‘83: Children of the Eighties and have something to say letting alone Imagine. No Woman No Cry is a very catchy tune. I can’t stop playing Me and Bobby McGee. (For The) Children of the Eighties pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Musically Love Inside is superior to other tracks in Live in Europe ‘83: Children of the Eighties. Don’t judge Wozu Sind Kriege Da on the first listening. I’ve found myself listening to Lady Di and I back to back and back many times. Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Joan Baez is hitting on all cylinders in Farewell, Angelina. Warriors of the Sun is new, fresh, and hypnotizing.
