Since Joan Manuel Serrat last CD (El sur tambien existe) on Virgin Records back in 1985, I have felt a massive void in my life. Self-described as Latin with lots of words, Joan Manuel Serrat comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. This album has some very good songs like El sur tambien existe and Curriculum. Joan Manuel Serrat “El sur tambien existe” is an amazing album.
Music in Curriculum is cool as in all tracks of El sur tambien existe. De arbol a arbol - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Lyrics of Hagamos un trato are precise and evocative. Testamento de miercoles is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Una mujer desnuda y en lo oscuro is another strong production from Joan Manuel Serrat. Blew our minds when we first heard Los formales y el frio. The song feels complete. Vas a parir felicidad is a exquisite, simple song by Joan Manuel Serrat at the top of his game. It’s such an underrated song.
