Going to New York presents the cool mix of instruments on I Can Tell. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. What sets Shake for Me apart is John Hammond’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Spoonful is the most memorable and amazing. John Hammond sings his heart out in Coming Home. My Baby Is Sweeter is a bit different from John Hammond stereotypical stuff. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on I Can Tell. Smokestack Lightning is absolutely incredible. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Five Long Years, which shows, blatantly, how much John Hammond has evolved as a singer.
