‘A Hard Road’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Since John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers last CD (A Hard Road) on Capitol Records back in 1990, I have felt a massive void in my life. fifteen years ago, John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “It’s Over”. John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers is one of my favourite bands of all time.
After you’ve listened to It’s Over, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. You Don’t Love Me is absolutely incredible. The Stumble is a perfect sing-along. One listen to the sheer beauty of Another Kinda Love was all I needed. Hit The Highway is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers has astounded me with this amazing track. There’s Always Work had me crying as I was able to relate so well. The Same Way is simply perfect. The Super-Natural (2:58) a good melody. Top Of The Hill is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Someday After A While (You’ll Be Sorry) is a very catchy tune. Vocals of John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers in Living Alone really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm.
