John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers and Crusade together. It has been twelve years John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers’ last studio CD, “Crusade” which won Array Academy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers energies, virtually a rebirth. Overall, I would highly recommend Crusade CD.
Stand Back Baby (1:49) a good melody. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers. Snowy Wood good vocals. Man Of Stone - A catchy, upbeat tune. Tears In My Eyes is a bit of a show-tune. Musically Driving Sideways is superior to other tracks in Crusade. The Death of J.B. Lenoir is really the reason why I recommend buying Crusade. I Can’t Quit You Baby gets you up and jumping. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers breathes new life into the music in Me And My Woman. Checkin’ Up On My Baby is worth the money.
