It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of John McLaughlin energies, virtually a rebirth. While no new John McLaughlin album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1990 tour in Australia. On Mediterranean Concerto album, John McLaughlin have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. If you love John McLaughlin as much as I do, then John McLaughlin Mediterranean Concerto is the CD for you!
This track is just a stunning masterpiece. In Animato you won’t find any flashy solos. Brise De Coeur is the album’s biggest hit, I think. John McLaughlin has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Two Sisters is just simply stunning. This is one hell of a track. Zakir - For me, this is the best of the album.
