Bun B. Hear has compared writing for Jon Mark’s new album to that on ‘Alhambra’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. For older fans Alhambra will put a massive smile accross your face. Jon Mark’s debut, ‘Alhambra’, does not fit easily into one genre. To me Jon Mark is the best band ever.
Arabesque (Night Of The Gypsies) is the albums biggest surprise. The Court Of The Kings as a highlight of Alhambra contains a ton of amazing melodies. Although Coming Of The Moors is very melodic it is far from sad. The Infantas - A classic Jon Mark track. From the moment you listen to Sirocco you’re hooked. Glory Of Spain is perfect. The Garden - My least favorite song on this album. Innocenti is another favourite of mine. I hope to keep hearing Jon Mark works for a long time to come. Excellent vocals and musical performances.
