‘Mientras Mas Lo Pienso’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. After seeing Guavaberry, I had to have a good Juan Luis Guerra cd. There is so much to love about Juan Luis Guerra, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Another great offering from Juan Luis Guerra.
Tu gives taste of what makes Juan Luis Guerra special as a musician. Amor Conuco presents the excellent mix of instruments on Mientras Mas Lo Pienso. Juan Luis Guerra must have run out of lyrics on the next track No Me Acostumbro. When listening to Me Enamoro de Ella, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. All of songs on Mientras Mas Lo Pienso and have something to say letting alone Ay! Mujer. Amigos is a bit of a show-tune. Rock-A-Fiesta is another strong production from Juan Luis Guerra. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Amigos, which shows, blatantly, how much Juan Luis Guerra has evolved as a singer.
