Since Jungle Rot last CD (Skin The Living) on Columbia Records back in 1988, I have felt a massive void in my life. Thom Yorke has compared writing for Jungle Rot’s new album to that on ‘Skin The Living’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. While no new Jungle Rot album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1988 tour in Africa. Skin The Living is the best essence of Jungle Rot.
It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Nice and different song. 5 Rotton Bodies is a bit different from Jungle Rot stereotypical stuff. Black Candle Mass very upbeat. Awaiting The End is the most memorable and gorgeous. Tomb Of Armenus is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Skin The Living is Decapitated. Screaming For Life is gorgeous work of Jungle Rot.
