A Drop Of Water is an amazing album, racked with beauty. There is no doubt that Keiko Matsui has talent. Since Keiko Matsui last CD (A Drop Of Water) on Capitol Records back in 1987, I have felt a massive void in my life. This is what good Jazz: Contemporary Jazz should be.
Strong, powerful vocals of Keiko Matsui in Light Above The Trees are very impressive. Keiko Matsui breathes new life into the music in Harbour Wind. Some call Mediterranean Sand from A Drop Of Water as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. This is one hell of a track. From My Window is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Only Way Home motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. No Keiko Matsui song has come close to capturing my attention as Fairy did. Paper Spirit actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Keiko Matsui’s face.
